Pontiac Repair: 2001 bonneville blower motor, pontiac bonneville, blower motor

Question
I have a 2001 pontiac bonneville that has no air flow from the HVAC system. I have opened the filter compartment under the hood removed the filter and saw that the fan was not running. I reached in with my finger and spun the fan and it started and ran through all the speeds until I shut it off. The nothing again. I then unplugged the power to the motor and found 11v on the center wire. I removed the three screws on the motor and one nut on the firewall and the motor wouldnt budge. Am I missing something? I was told when I take the three screws out the motor should be loose.
Thanks
Jim

Answer
Hi Jim:

The blower motor comes from under the dash board on that car. there are 5 or 6 of them. depending on the year of the car there are 2 designs for the motor depending on what you have you may need a new plastic plate that the motor attaches to before you install it back onto the heater box. I'm not a parts guy so I can't tell you if this is the year that needs it or not. Good luck :)
