Pontiac Repair: 1998 Pontiac sunfire GT, pontiac sunfire, little gap

My sunroof will open fine and shut but before it seals in the back it leaves a little gap and i cant get it to shut all the way. I have tried everything i can think of. What could the problem be??

is this a factory installed roof or aftermarket?

If it's the factory one ther is more then likley something wrong with the motor assembly. there is a "soft" stop and a "hard" stop switch in the motor and one of them may be bad. If it closes almost al the way you may be able to just loosen the adjuster screws and pull the glass down all the way so it seals. Then DO NOT use it again.
