Pontiac Repair: electric problems, pontiac grand am, ign

my problem is on a 04 pontiac grand am with a 2.2 ecotec the gauges and the dummy lights will cycle,like you just started the car when we turn the ac or the blower motor on this only happens when ever it wants to.

sounds to me like you have eithere a bad ground connection for the IPC (speedo cluster) or a bad ign ition switch. More likley the isgnitions switch the contacts have highe resistance in them and the extra load from the blower motor of the system makes the system voltage drop enough that the IPC goes into a restart mode. good luck :)
