Pontiac Repair: 1990 pontiac fire bird 3.1, mass air sensor, pontiac fire bird

Question
I replaced my rotor and cap checked the sensor under the cap, plugs, fule pump and filter, starter, map sensor, O2 sensor, ECM, injectors, ignition switch and key, Everything on the car is to specs from fule pressure to fire. it was running but would die when you would touch the gas. my buddy is a mechanic and ran it on his comp but every thing checked ok. the security light isnt flashing but it acts like its the vats. i hve no idea what would let it run but as soon as you hit the gas it dies.

Answer
Hi Travis:

does the fule pressure stay steady when it's running? How about when you touch the gas peadl does it drop off? If so it has a fule pressure issue. You can try this laos unplug the mass air folw sensor and try running it. If it runs but just hesitates when you accelerate the issue is with a bad mass air sensor. Good luck :)
