Pontiac Repair: 2003 pontiac montana, fuel pressure regulator, pontiac montana

Question
i have a 2003 pontiac montana 3.4l sometimes when hot it cranks over more times than normal to start. it has 40000 miles no cel and runs great otherwise.

Answer
Hey Tyler:

well this can be a lot of things. My first guess would be a fuel pressure issue maning the fuel pressure is leaking out of the fuel rail and fuel is boiling in the rail so when you start it it doesn't have enough pressure to start and run. t can be because of a few things either a leaking injector in to the engine. A fuel pump check valve that is allowing the fuel to leak back into the tank. A fuel pressure regulator that is allowing the pressure to bleed back into the tank.. It can be a restricted fuel filter.. If can be a lot of other things caused by a hot soak from a sensor that's bad to an ignition module that me e going bad to even a engine that cranks over to slow how caused bt a bad battery cable or bad starter motor.. Good luck :)
