Pontiac Repair: gasline and brake lines, gasline, first car

So, im purchasing my first car and am doing it privately, the guy said brake lines and gas line need to be replaced, does anyone have any idea how much this will cost?

stay away from this car! The guy is being honest with you which is nice but the price to repair it can be VERY high. It's a big unknown. It depends on how bad the lines are roted out on this car. It can get VERY VERY expensive. I don't want to scare you away from it but keep looking and see if you can find another car... If the barke lines and gas lines need to be replaced what else on the car is rotted out as well??? Good luck :}
