Pontiac Repair: How to add refrigerant to 1996 Pontiac Grand Am, coolant line, pontiac grand am

How do I add refrigerant to a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am 3.1 code M? I don't see a cylinder like most vehicles have. There is a valve in the front of car with a red cap on a coolant line -- could this be it?

Hi Ron:

No that is the "HI" side the one with the red cap. look for a blue or black cap on the larger line downbmy the compressor. you want to always charge the system on the "LO" side. It depends on which engine this car has as to where the tap is. buy none the less the larger of the a/c lines in the "LO" side look around and you will find it. Good luck :)
