Pontiac Repair: 2003 grand am electrical prob, haynes manaul, water leaks

Question
Hi Todd, me again the fuse i'm dealing with is the a/c abcf(auto body control function) I pulled it when running and the engine kept running, i'd hoped it would die to limit when it blew.  Could you tell me what all is on that circuit?  If the starter is not on that fuse circuit then it doesn't seem like that could be the problem.  Anyway...HELP!  thanks

Answer
Hey Everett:

Liike I said before I can't tell you exactly what else is on thatfuse because I don't have access to older service manuals from home just back to 1998 and trying to find older shop manuals is had as well Most of them are missing from work they took a walk and never came back. You may have to invest in a shop manual. But a lot of times those are missing stuff and are very genaric Like a Haynes manaul those suck. I'd look for a chilton or motors manaul. I can tell you the body function controller on that car is on the left side of the dash tucked up by the steering column. It's either black,tan or orange in color and ir usually plugged into a socket type connectpr and had an extra connector that plugged into it. A lot of times on those older ones they would have water leaks into the car and cause a lot of issues. you can try unplugging that and put the fuse in and see what happenes. The only thing is that controller runs a lot of thinks in the car like the indicators on the dash and the chime for the doors and headlamps etc... try that It's the best I can do for you right now If your still at wits ends sand me a another question during the week an I'll see if I can hunt down a shop manual but don't bet on the fact I'm gonna be able to find one to be able to tell you what else is on that fuse. Good luck :}
