Pontiac Repair: 95 Bonneville 3.8 II non-super sputtering, mass air sensor, mass airflow sensor

Question
95 Bonneville 3.8 S-II non-supercharged- New plugs, wires, fuel pump and TPS. Chugs under load. Tends to choke itself out and stumble at idle and in overdrive. Will accelerate very slowly. Can only get 4000 RPMS and cut's out. Did airflow and fuel check. mass airflow sensor-?? Thanks

Answer
Hey Chris.

I would look at possibly a partially restricted exhaust from a possibly plugged cat. converter. drop the pipe down and take the car for a ride and see if it has power then. You could have a bad Mass air sensor... Unplug it and take it for a drive. The car will hesitate but see if it has power again and the chugging is gone. You could have an injector issue where you have 1 or more that is lean. Just a few things to try. good luck :)
