Pontiac Repair: door latch switch (?), pontiac sunfire, door latch

2001 pontiac sunfire,2.2 se.  radio will not turn off after removing key from ignition or opening door.  Could it be the door pin?  How to remove and replace if it is such will help me a lot.

Hi Mike:

More than likely it's the door jam switch that is bad. To remove it just grab onto the swicth and gently wiggle it and pull it out of the body. when you unplug it use a paper clip and touch the 2 wires together in the connector and the radio should shut off. If so the switch is bad. This is a dealer only part. good luck :}
