Pontiac Repair: 1999 Grand Prix, heater blower, wire harness

Question
Hello Todd, I have a 99 Grand Prix with a noisy heater/ac. I was told it is the "window" that either lets the cold air or hot air flow through the vents. Every time I hit a bump or turn sharply it squeals and the air flow is severely reduced. How do I get to this "window" to fix this issue? Do you have any other suggestions?

Answer
Hey Glenda:

I don't know what a window in the heater/ac box is??? My guess is something has been sucked into the heater blower motor and it's stuck in the motors fan and rubbing inside the heater box or it's just thrown off the balance on the fan. the motor has to be taken out and see what's either stuck in the box or stuck in the fan. The motor is under the glove box mounted to the bottom of the heater box. it has 1 wire harness and 3 screws attaching it to the box.
good luck :}
