Pontiac Repair: hi, poor fuel economy, valve cover gasket

hi there i had problem with ignition coil failure in my car every 6 month after, could u tell me what cause , symptom is ignition coil failure. my car is.

2003 vibe 1.8l all wheel drive

The cause could be contamination (water, oil, coolant, etc..) Could be a leaky valve cover gasket, a bad weather seal allowing water to enter and get around the coil.
They can just fail...electrical malfunction.
Could have a bad wire, wiring or another module farther up from the coil(s) causing them to fail prematuraly.
Symptoms would be engine missing badly (bucking, hesitating poor acceleration), poor fuel economy, Check Engine light on....
I personally have NEVER had a coil on a Vibe fail, and I work on MANY rental units.
