Pontiac Repair: Oil filter of Pontiac Grand AM 2004, pontiac manual, ecotech engine

I bought a used car so I don't have pontiac manual.Now I need change oil and oil filter But I don't know:
  WHERE IS OIL FILTER??? Please show me where they are.Thanks

If it's an Ecotech engine (2.2) it is located under the intake manifold, on the drivers side and you'll have to get a 1 1/4" socket (one and one quarter) and remove the black plastic 1 1/4" oil filter access plug. The filter is a cartridge filter, not a typical can type filter. (filter access plug is accessible from under hood, not on bottom)
If your going to be changing your own oil, I would recommend 2 things.
1) take it to an oil change place and get them to show you the exact location (if you cannot find it today).
2) There is a special socket made ESPECIALLY for easy access and uses 3/8" drive extensions, I would recommend finding and purchasing one of these sockets.
It will pay for itself after a few oil changes you DIY.
