Pontiac Repair: 3 quick questions..., chevy cavalier, ball joints

Question
I bought a 1991 Chevy Cavalier (4 cylinder) with 135,000 miles on it and it has a couple of problems.

1)  When I start it the oil pressure seems fine, after the engine warms up from being driven awhile and I come to a stop, the pressure drops, then when I begin driving again, it picks up again by about 50%...is this something to be concerned about?

2)  The driver side door will not open from the inside or outside.  How do I get the panel off without being able to open the door?

3)  When driving at 55 mph or over the front end (steering column) shakes like crazy.  For your information, there is one snow tire on drivers side and one all season radial on the passenger side, could this have anything to do with the shaking?  If not, what else could be the problem?

Thanks,
Rob

P.S. I know that the Cavalier and Sunbird are basically the same vehicle which is why I posted here.

Answer
1) It sounds like your oil pump is working normal. As long as the pressure doesn't drop to low at an idle it should be ok.

2)Good luck getting the panel off. There are no easy ways to do it. Sometimes you can roll the window down and then use a long screwdriver to pop the latch through the top of the door. The problem is probably that the lock lever on the latch is stuck in the locked position. You might want to soak it down with something like PB Blaster or WD40.

3)The mismatched tires could be causing the problem. It could also be a slipped belt in one of the tires or worn front end parts like tie rods or ball joints.
