hi dave
ive got a 1984 924 and when started from cold its really lumpy and can only tick over around 200rpm.after a few mins the cars fine and drives great with the rpms at 950-1000?.i have changed the warm up reg,aux air v/v and coolent sensor but still the same.thanks  kev

Hi Kevin,

You'll want to check the operation of your cold start valve...if you can start but the idle is crummy, I suspect the cold start valve is working, but very poorly.  If it quits you'll have a very hard time starting at all.

Typically this valve acts like another injector in cold start situations.   Often it's located to spray fuel into the intake manifold rather than just one cylinder.
