RV Repair: re:slide out not working, ocean city maryland, circuit breakers

Question
Hi, today we got to our new site and put out our slide outs as usual. After they were out I heard this running motro noise , it sounded liek a cordless dril running in the basement area. We checked it out, and heard it was coming from the passenger front slide out. We pushed the botton for that slide, and the noise stopped, but then whe nwe pushed it again, now the slide out does nothing.
We have a 42' TRavel Supreme.I'm sure you heard the heartbreaker for us that TS shut down. Can't call them now.. We love out motrhome, and just want to get this fixed without towing it far from here. We are in Ocean City Maryland and there is no TS dealer or Camping World /Service Center near by. Any suggestions wouldbe great...
Thanks,
Leslie Doyle

Answer
Leslie, This is going to be difficult to try and diagnose this way, but the first thing you need to do is to locate the motor. Once you have found it you will need to see if there is power to the motor when someone pushes the button inside. If there is then the motor is bad and if not then it has lost power and you will need to trace it down. If not then check the switch, and if there is no power there then go to where the batteries are located and you should see some circuit breakers for the 12 volt there. Check them all to see that power is present on both sides. There may be one with power to only one side and if so it will need to be replaced. Thanks, Bill
