RV Repair: Coachman Tire Wear, happy camping, leaf springs

Question
I have a 2001 Coachman 248TB travel trailer that has worn the left rear tire down to the wear indicator only on the inside of the tire; the other three tires are fine. I have looked at the leaf springs and all bushings on the left side and found quite a bit of side to side in most of the hardware connecting both axles to the frame. Could these bushings cause the tire to wear like this? Each spring moves about 1/8" sideways inside the shackle and the link between the two leaf springs has play that allows it to move up and down, most of the bolts will spin when the load is removed from the springs.

Answer
Jamie,
The most likely cause of the problem you are experiencing is that the spindle on that axle has somehow been bent out alignment.  Unfortunately the only way to repair it is going to be to replace the axle.  Depending on how long it takes to wear the tire out you may be able to get away with just replacing that tire a little more often.  I hope this helps good luck and happy camping.
