                  THANKS

Answer
Jim,
Either the thermister or the lower circuit board on the rear of your refrigerator is the fault.  Without testing the unit I can't be sure which one has failed.  The thermister is mounted on the cooling fins in the refrigerator and runs out the rear of the cabinet down to the lower circuit board where it has a 2 wire connector that plugs in.  If you don't want to take the unit in for testing you can try replacing the thermister first.  It should run you about $10-20.  It can be installed without removing the refrigerator in most cases with a little patience.  If that fails to correct the problem then you will have to replace that lower circuit board which is going to be somewhere in the $150 range.
