Saturn Repair: trans shifting, shift out, engie

Question
my car wont shift out of park when brake is pressed, it takes a few min. with engie running before it will disengage and allow you to shift'

I am sorry, I don't know anything about the newer Satruns, only the 1992-1997 SL1 and SL2

BUT, it dounds like a solenoid OR Sensor problenm.  Unfortunatley, it is prebably a dealer diagnosed repair.
