Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 3hp tecumseh 2cycle (ariens metro snowblower), needle valve, exaust

Question
I have a ariens metro snowblower. I am having trouble with the gas leaking and comming out of the exaust. I have tried to get the float clear and made sure that the float doesnt have any liquid in it. the carb # is #632396 Is there a seat in the carb where the needle valve goes into. From what I can see is the seat is plastic is that possible. Or do you have some ideas for me on this problem??
Thank you very much!!!

See the service manual at this link:

If the link does not work, Google "Tecumseh service manual pdf" and you should find the link.

To answer your question, yes there is an inlet needle seat you should replace.  How do you know the float does not have any liquid in it?  I once had a float fill completely with liquid...no sloshing sound what you shook the float and no bubbles from the float when submerged in liquid.

The manual will describe how to replace the seat.  You can also search You Tube and find several videos on how to clean Tecumseh/Craftsman carburetors.

Let me know if this helps.
