How do I change out the primer bulb?

If this is a Techumseh engine, it is held in by a metal retainer ring, take a small screwdriver and pry it out and install the new one. If this is a Briggs engine there is a plastic retainer with two tabs on it in slots on the side, push these in and pry it out. When installing the new one, line the tabs up and use a deep well socket and tap lightly with a small hammer until the tabs show up in the slots.
