Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki FC420V-AS10 from JD LX172, crankshaft seal, head gasket

Question
I just had a new head gasket put on this motor due to a bad oil leak.  The engine still leaks oil.  It appears to be coming from the cylinder area - I'm thinking it could still be the head gasket, or someplace up higher.  Any idea where to look or what to check?

Thanks,

Bob

Answer
Hello Bob:

>>The Only other Possible Place the Leak could be from is the Upper Crankshaft Seal.
>>With the Engine Running, can you See Bubbles in the Oil?
>>Did the Shop Check the Head and Block for being Warped?
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. *You can Drag the View Windows for Better Viewing.*
