Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD 180 Clutch not disengaging, electric clutch, clutch

Hey John, I just recently got my hands on a free 180.  after spending 2 days getting it right, it runs fine, well did.  Today the clutch started to not disengage.  After spending hours fiddling, I cant get it to work right.  The belt is old and cracked, could this be the problem?

  Looking at the JD site, the 180 I looked at had an electric clutch
but there were a lot of models there with 180 in the model number.

If it is the model with the electric clutch, then just unplug it,
and if the problem stays, then the problem is in the clutch,
maybe just the bearings, and it may be rebuildable.

Let me know what you find with it.
