Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): white smoke, crankcase oil, husqvarna lawn tractor

Question
I have a riding husqvarna lawn tractor. It has a Kawasaki FH661V (22 hp) engine. I have the grass cutter removed and was towing a 25 gal sprayer. I filled the gas tank with gas from 3 remaining gas cans. one of the cans fluid looked a little dirty ( maybe even diesel) but only about 2 qt. max. I started up and it was rough and then started smoking HEAVY white smoke. I thought it would clear up but it just got worse. It finally just shut down. I drained the gas and replaced it with clean gas. Tried to start it but it only ran a few seconds to a minute  with white smoke still coming out. I checked the oil (after 15 min ideal) It was reading a couple inches above the FULL line. The oil also smells like gas and is very thin. I just walked away. I have a gut feeling that there is a major problem. Can you please advise where I can start to solve this problem.  Thanks     Dennis

Answer
You need to take apart the carb and clean it thoroughly, there is likely a piece of crud blocking the inlet needle open and causing
the carb to flood, and the gas is making it's way into the crankcase
oil and thus being overfull in the crankcase, it is burning out the exhaust.  When you have the flooding fixed, then you will have to replace the fouled engine oil.

Go to KAWPOWER.com and you can look at the blowup of the engine and see how the carb is put together, not too hard of a job.
