Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kohler CV 15 rocker arm adjustment, combustion chamber, rocker arm

Question
I recently did a teardown of my mower engine due to a brass butterfly screw that came loose.  The screw was taken into the combustion chamber and I wanted to see the extent of the damage.  The rockers and push rods needed to be removed and I am unsure how the rockers should be seated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks B

Answer
The entire process is a little too involved to get into on this forum but the Kohler manual will walk you through it.  It can be found at http://www.asberry.net/files/TP-2339-D.pdf

There are a couple different styles of rockers for this engine, go to the reassembly chapter of the manual and it will detail the entire process.  While I had the head off, I would go ahead and lap the valves.  This is another procedure that will be in the manual.  Thanks, PK.
