Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gcv160 Honda Mower (HRR 216K3 VXA), honda mower, tiny holes

Question
John,
1st, the mower has been sitting for at least 2 years, and yes it had fuel in it.  Well it's not fuel anymore... sticking and brown... sweet!   Anyway, I've read your advice on these situations but still stuck: i've cleaned the lines, cleaned the tank (best i could... Fuel finally runs clear), cleaned the carb (did not soak) but no clogs from what i can tell (if i spray an opening it comes out it's respective exit, it was clogged and looks tons better), changed spark plug (it needed it), and i know the fuel is in the ON position.  After all this still nothing.  I used some starting fluid... it fires up for 2 or 3 seconds and dies.  It seems it's not pulling the fuel... and i know fuel is now gettng to the carb.  Could it still be the carb?
Thanks for the help.

Answer
The jets in the carb need to be cleaned, and to do it, it is easiest
to remove the carb.  The nut that holds the bowl on is right below the jets, you will need a straight, slim flat tipped screwdriver
to unscrew the bottom one, the one above it will fall out when
tapping the carb on the table, these jets have tiny holes in them, they need to be cleaned out thoroughly, then reassemble.

Give this a shot, it is not that easy, you just need a 10mm
wrench and the screwdriver.
