Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): no throttle response on lawnboy model 10324, shaft assembly, response engine

Question
i have a 1998 lawnboy model #10324 Ser # 8906850. the throttle cable broke, i replaced and now no throttle response. engine starts and idle's great but when i move the throttle to "rabbit" position no change.i have replaced the throttle spring (98-7011) that is on the airvane and shaft assembly (104-4430)no binding, nothing broke,i get higher RPM when i move the airvane shaft assembly manually. what if anytype of adjustment is required with the spring and airvane and shaft assembly,COLLAR-ADJUST, AIRVANE (610834)?????? thanks in advance tom

Answer
These carbs can be tricky to work on, the spring on the vane needs
hooks in the arm that slides when the throttle cable moves, the tension on the spring changes and balances against the air force
on the breeze made by the flywheel, that is how the governor works,
the faster the flywheel goes, the more it forces the vane to close/
slow down the throttle.  On the bottom of the vane is a serrated wheel, which can be turned with an audible "click", that allows you to put more or less tension on the spring, each click is supposed to change the rpms by @ 10 rpm.
Try this out, and I will see if I can find any more info on it
for you.
