Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snapper 281016Be - 1999, clutch assembly, tension spring

Question
My rider no longer moves when it is 3rd gear, and is starting to slip in all other gears when i am on a slight incline. What parts do I need for repair.

Thank You

Answer
Hello Gary:

>>From your Description it Sounds like the Drive Disc is Worn and the Tension Spring May Require Replacing.
You can View a Breakdown/IPL at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsales.com/ and Select Parts at the Top of the Page. Now Fill Out the Quick Parts Look Up Section.
>>The Drive Disc is Shown in the "Drive Disc Assembly" File and the Driven Disc and Tension Spring are Shown in the "Smooth Clutch Assembly" File.
>>I Usually Replace the Drive Disc Only when there are Waves in the Surface and Replace the Driven Disc when it Starts to Slip as you Described or has Chunks Missing from the Rubber Section.
>>I Suggest you Look at the Drive isc and Determine if it is Wavy, but Replace the Driven Disc (has the Rubber) and the Tension Spring.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
