Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kohler Engine, engine fires, spec numbers

Question
John, I have a model CV22S Kohler engine Spec.# 75547. The engine fires on one cylinder at idle. It will fire on both at full throttle. I have replaced the rectifier regulator with no change. If i pull the plug wire on the firing cylinder it will fire on the other. What do you think?
Thanks,
Bob

Answer
Hello Bob:

>>From your Description it Sounds like a Bad Ign Coil.
>>According to the Breakdown, this Engine Uses a Single Coil with 2 Spark Plug Leads.
>>Replace the Coil and the Problem should be Corrected.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Kohler) and Enter the Model and Spec Numbers (CV22S-75547). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View.
