Can you use an automobile oil filter on a lawn mower engine. It is a Kohler 17 hp craftsman

Answer
Yes, as long as you can find the cross-reference automotive filter.  I use auto filters for my motorcycle once in a while but I've found the cost difference and special ordering the auto filter in not worth it.  Honda cost about $11 and the auto filter equivalent is about $10.

You can goole the Kohler filter and google a replacement auto replacement.
