Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Mower Engine, blade control, honda mower

Question
I have a honda HRR216K5VXA. I brought it home from the store and the blades wouldn't move. I found out that they weren't hooked so they would engage so I fixed that problem. Once I fixed the problem I went to try it again and now my engine is seized and I can't pull the chord. What would be causing this problem on a brand new mower?

Answer
Hello Rich:

>>Will the Engine Turn with the Spark Plug Removed?
>>From your Description it Sounds like Oil Filled the Cylinder when the Mower was Tilted to Repair the Blade Engagement or there is a Problem with the Blade Control Assy.
>>If the Cylinder is Not Filled with Oil that Ran Out when the Spark Plug was Removed, then Return the Unit and Request Another.
>>There is a Problem with the Blade Control Assy or there is Another Problem.
>>This being a New Mower, you Never should have had Any Problems from it in the Beginning.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
