Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kawasaki motor, kawasaki motor, safety switches

Question
Hi, FC420V-CSO5 motor on an exmark walk behind mower.  Only owned about a month, I have had it running maybe 10 times, no problems, sometimes easier to start than others but always started, no smoke or funny noises.  Had all the little issues taken care of..flat tire, new oil and gas, new muffler. Had it running, put back in garage and wd 40'd the swithces and levers, cleaned up and ready for spring cutting.  Wanted to start it and move to shed...won't start or even try. Plug looked ok..little wet with gas after many pulls, bought new plug anyway and tried some more, nothing. Near as I can tell no spark, hard to hold plug and pull but I see no spark.  Any idea's?

Answer
I would look at the safety switch area, which would ground out the ignition.  There is probably a key switch too, safety switches at
the control handles, and one at the trans, if your unit is not hydro.
You can bypass them for testing purposes by disconnecting the
wire going to the igniter and coil, and of course, try a new plug too.
Try these things, if it is a problem in the safety switch area,
I will need to know the model number of the mower.
