Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Cub Cadet snow thrower, shear pins, dianostics

Question
I have a problem with my Cub Cadet Time Saver 528 SWE, model number 161-104 31AH5LTT756. Engine is a Tecumseh Snow King 10hp. Engine starts and runs fine. Last night I got it started, then tried to engage the auger, then it just stalled as soon as I hit the lever. Restarted it and tried again, this time it sqealed loudly when I tried to engage the auger. Wheel drive works fine. Shear pins are all there. Tried turning the fan behind the auger manually(with the engine off of course), it felt like working against a brake, and it only turned about 90 degrees then locked. Where should I be looking for the problem? Additional info, it is stored outside under a tarp, so could something be frozen? Thank you for any help.

Answer
Hello Jeff:

Then Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View.
>>This is a Hard Problem to Locate. You May have to have Assistance to Properly Perform the Dianostics.
>>With Someone Turning the Augers Back and Forth, Check All the Drive System from the Engine to the Gearbox for Anything that can Cause the Binding and Stopping like you Described. If there is Nothing that is Visible to the Eye, then
>>Remove the Drive Belt and Turn the Auger. If the Auger Still Turn 90 degrees and Stops, then Most Likely there is a Problem Inside the Gearbox.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag, if I Missed Something or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
