Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD Huskee hydrostatic transmission, briggs and stratton, proper manuals

Question
I have a Huskee,w/ a Briggs and Stratton engine, ser# 1B165B70022 000001, model #13AJ791G731 4490037. 18 hp SOV hydrostatic trans. I was using it to pull a little trailer loaded with dirt and  i parked it, unhooked the trailer to dump it and the mower would not move again. The belt is still on but not turnig at all. When you put it in reverse it lugs the engine down a bit. The back wheels  are locked up. Even after setting the release wire on the back of the  transmission. Have any ideas? Cheryl

Answer
Hello Cheryl:

>>Huskee is an MTD Brand Unit.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (MTD) and Enter the Model Numbers (13AJ791G731). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Drive Belt has Jumped Off a Pulley and is Binding.
>>Are you Sure the Belt is On ALL the Pulleys?
>>Are you Sure All the Pulleys are Turning Properly with No Binding or Grinding>
>>Can you Turn the Transaxle Pulley by Hand?
>>If the Belt is on All the Pulleys, the Pulleys are Good and the Transaxle Pulley can be Turned by Hand, then I Require the Transaxle Model Numbers.
>>On the Transaxle is an OEM Identification Plate. Send me the Information Off of This Plate, Please. With this Information, I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist You.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag, if I Missed Something or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
