Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Bradford Snowblower, gravity feed, w t grant

Question
Hi, I've inherited a snowblower and I'm trying to figure out what type of engine and carb it has and also looking to get some replacement parts for it. There are several decals on it identifing it as a Bradford but I can't find any info on a company by that name. There is a plate on the chassis with  model # 53605200 UD2 and serial # 6-32332. There was a plate rivited to the engine but it is missing. It has a gravity feed fuel supply and a "button" on the carb to hold in to prime the carb. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answer
Hello John

Check the Engines Blower Housing for an Engine Model Number. The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug and on Some Models Above the Muffler. You can Also Use this Site Addy; http://www.briggsandstratton.com/maint_repair/BS_modeltypecode.pdf for Assistance in Locating the Model, Type and Code Numbers of the Engine. I will Research this Unit and Follow Up with you on Monday (11/17) with Any Results. I have Heard and even Worked on Bradford Equipment, but the Last one was About 20 Years Ago. Thanks.

I Spoke to the OEM Technicians and was Informed that this can be an AYP or MTD OEM Unit. It is an Obsolete/Antique Unit and No One has a Breakdown or Parts for thsi Unit. However, You can Use the Site Addys at this Site Addy; http://www.yetmans.mb.ca/antiques.html to Search and Locate New/Used Parts for this Unit. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
