QUESTION: :)Thanks for replying--- I have already purchased a new extension cord.  My lawn mover has no power at all (Lawn mower cord is fine).  Please let me know, if it is relay or switch or any thing else has gone?  thanks

Answer
It sounds like the brushes in your electric motor need to be replaced also white commentator ring needs to be cleaned up.  This would entail taking the electric motor apart finding the brush holders then finding replacement brushes putting them in.  The commentator ring that the brushes rub on should not be glazed over.  Use a wire brush to clean up the commentator ring.
