Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Push mower, 12 volt, intenet

I have a 22 in self propelled battery electric start Craftsmen lawn mower that won't start.The model no. 917374301 and the serial no. is 019148. I tried charging the battery but I don't think the battery is charging. I left the battery charging for over 24 hrs. I would have thought the battery would at least be warm to the touch but it was cold. Do you think the battery is bad and if so where can I find an inexpensive 12 volt battery(6XM3)?

I would replace the charger it sounds like no current is going to the battery. if you are looking for inexpensive parts  think I would suggest would be to search for them on the Intenet craigslist eBay etc. you might also try RadioShack.  Otherwise go to Searspartsdirect.com and on the right side of the homepage enter your model number and you will find the parts you are looking for.
