When I engage the blades on my riding mower white smoke billows out of the engine. If I don't engage the blades I can't make the engine smoke. The oil level is correct. Could you please help

Answer
Hello Bruce:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.jacobisalespartslookup.com/home.asp and Select the Cub Cadet Logo. Now Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Now Select the OEM ( Cub Cadet) and Select the Model Tab. Then Enter the Model Numbers and Click Search. Then Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. Then Select Sectional View. Then Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View. From your Description it Sounds like a/the Head Gasket/s are Blown Between the Push Tube Galley and the Compression Chamber or the Crankcase Vent is Stuck and Not Venting the Engine Crankcase Properly. Usually the Crankcase Breather will Cause the Engine to Smoke White All the Time, However I have Seen Cases where it was Only Causing Smoke when the Engine is Under a Load (Blades Engaged). The Most Common Cause is the Head Gasket. I Suggest you Change the Head Gasket/s First. Then Clean the Crankcase Vent if the Engine Stills Smokes. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
