Is there any way to check the coil to see if it any good or not?

The best way to check a coil is to get a spark plug tester,If you dont have one then you can remove the spark plug and set the plug against the engine  while it is still hooked up to the coil. Start the engine and see if you have a bright blue spark from the plug to the engine metal. If you have spark the coil is good if not,then it is bad.We sell coils as we are a B&S Authorized service center We can get you one for $33.99 plus shipping.
