Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): troy bilt tractor, troy bilt, fuel tank

Back at Thanksgiving I was cleaning up the yard with my troybilt tractor.After it stalled I was unable to restart it. It would start but only run for about 1 second before it would again stall out. With spring right around the corner, I need to fix this could it be the anti backfire solenoid?

Sounds like you have dirt in the carb from the fuel tank. I would look at cleaning out the fuel tank if it is dirty or has stuff floating around.Then check or replace the fuel filter and get the carb cleaned or rebuilt,that should help with the problem.
