Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): timing on 23cc 2 stroke, walbro carb, question pool

Question
Hi Ben,

I have a 23cc Chung Yang 2 stroke. The only numbers I found are CY64923B and a 23 CC sticker.  It has a Walbro Carb #668B and has the NGK CMR6H spark plug.  The engine has less then 2 hours on it and it still moves easily when the starter cord is pulled.

An object decided to wedge itself between the flywheel and the mag today before deciding to launch leaving a nice little score on the outer edge of the wheel.  The engine imediately started to run like the choke was on even though it was off.  The engine then died.  Upon trying to start it again it wanted to fire but couldn't hold an idle as if the timing was now off then it had a small backfire from the carb.  Im at a loss. Is this possible? I have removed the Flywheel to reset TDC but realized that there is no way the flywheel could spin seperate from the crank.  And what does the S followed by the N stand for on the flywheel?  Thank You, Jason

Answer
Hello Jason:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Simply Remove the Flywheel and Replacew the Flywheel Key. The Key Times the Plug Firing. The N ans S Stand for Magnetic North and South. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
