Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Spicer 4900 3, 93264 Hydrostatic transaxle, fluid reservoir, transaxle

Question
I have a 1996 Murray 42" rider with a Spicer 4900 3, 93264 transaxle. When operating the mower, it will slow down while accelerating. My drive belt and pulleys are all tight. I have not been able to find much information on this model transaxle. I would like to service, repair or replace it if possible and economically feasible. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

Answer
Hello Phil:

Tis is a Dana/Foote/Spicer Hydro. You can View a Breakdown of the Transaxle at this Site Addy; http://www.m-and-d.com/dana_foote_parts.html and Scroll Down to the View Dana/Foote Parts Diagram Window. Now Scroll in this Window to your Model Transaxle. Now Select your Model to Download the Breakdown/IPL. You can Also Purchase the Parts or Transaxle from this Site. I See this Hydro has a Reservoir, Is the Fluid Reservoir Full? If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
