Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD snowthrower did not move., crescent wrench, jam nut

The snow-throwers' engine can be started easily. However it cannot move at all. Even I cannot push it forward, the tire is stalled completely.

look where control cable attaches to auger control handle up on the handlebars. Hopefully you'll find a small cylinder about 3" long with a threaded rod and jam nut screwed into it.Hold cylinder with pliers/small crescent wrench and loosen jam nut with end wrench.Back jam nut up about 1/2" and screw rod into cyl until jam nut touches cyl. Then retighten jam nut. Hope this works for you. I don't know if yours has the same adj as mine. If not perhaps someone else here can help.
