Can you explain the polarities of the stator for our Craftsman garden tractor with a Kohler 22 HP engine, Model CV22S-75334?  Do the positive and negatives alternate around the ring?

The Stator is Not Polarized. The Magnets Under the Flywheel Swing Past the Stator Coils and Create Current. Depending on the Type of Stator, it May Produce AC or DC Current and Some Stators are Designed to Produce Both AC and DC Current.
