Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray Snowblower, inch model, gas tank

Question
Hi Ben
I have a 2002 Murray Snowblower, 5 hp, 22 inch, model 622518X31D. It runs on choke, but as soon as you take it off choke it stalls. What should I check?

The first step, before you even look at the carburetor, is to check the gas in the tank. If it's fresh, then that's probably not the problem. But, if there is any old gas in the tank leftover from last season that could be the reason your Snowblower won't start. Gasoline turns to a varnish-like substance when it's stored too long. If this is the case, you'll need to empty out the gas tank of your Snowblower. Sounds like you need to rebuild/clean the carb make sure that gas is flowing to the carb really good
