Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Model numbers, throttle return spring, snow thrower

Question
QUESTION: I've just purchased a new snowblower with a Tecumseh OHSK 80-130 Snow King 12HP engine (manufactured 2004).  The engine starts and runs perfectly but when the throttle lever is moved to full (up) it slips back down to half within a few seconds.  It seems there is a spring that pulls the lever back down.  I can't figure out how to tighten the assembly so that it will hold full throttle.  Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.

ANSWER: Hello Max:

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Depending on the Model Snow Thrower, you May have to Replace the Throttle Control Cable or you May be Able to Tighten the Throttle Cable Lever Mount Bolt a Little and this will Tighten the Throttle so it will Not Move Due to the Vibration of the Unit. Thanks.

QUESTION: Sorry - I thought the designation from the manual was the model.  The engine decal reads MODEL: OH358SA; SPEC: 223839F; ENGINE FAMILY 4TPXS.3582AF

I tried tightening what I think would be the "lever mount bolt" (what looks like a throttle return spring attaches to the end of the lever away from the bolt) but it doesn't budge - at least not with a screwdriver.  I was afraid to apply much torque to it with a socket wrench.

Thanks for your help.

ANSWER: Hello Again Max:

The Snow King is an MTD Manufactured Snow Thrower. The MTD Number is What I Require. It will Look Something Like; 31AH611G790. This will Allow me to View a Breakdown of the Unitand Better Assist you. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Max:

Thanks. Go to this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Murray) and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers (OH358SA-223838F). Then Select your Model and Download the File for Online Viewing. You May have to Replace the Throttle Control Bracket (#200) on this Model. It is a Rivit and Not a Bolt like the Older Models. If this is a New Unit, then Return it to the Authorized Service Center for Repairs, Please.
