Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro 20017, assembly drawings, select start

Question
I have a toro 20017 walk behind mower. The self propel feature still works but it seems to have lost most of it's ability to pull itself. How do i repair it?

Usually the Belt being Worn or the Split Pulley on the Transmission is the Cause for this Problem. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. Check the Belt First. If the Belt is Good, then Check the Split Pulley on the Transmission. Make Sure the Nut is Tight. If the Nut Loosens, then the Pulley Gap Widens and the Belt Slips. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps.
