Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki FH641V 21hp motor, steep slopes, oil level

Question
This motor is fitted to a Sumo 4 wheel drive 4 wheel steer hd brush mower and works on very steep slopes , and started suffering from serious lack of power, and also oil level increase in sump I diagnosed problem as being Carb so a complete overhaul was carried out with all new parts inc. replacement of fuel shut off valve , but although the unit now has full power and runs great we are still getting fuel in the oil , have checked the fuel pump by doing a vac test on the crank vent side to check for diaphragm leak and it holds vac well when the vent is covered , where else could I be getting the fuel from ?? this motor has done 400 hrs of the above kind of work  Thank you for your time Regards Bob

Answer
Hello Bob:

This has Become a Common Problem with All the Carburetors Manufactured Today. Install a Manual Shut Off Valve and Turn Off the Gas Flow to the Carburetor when Not In Use. The Carburetor Float Needle is "Seeping" Gas when the Engine Sets. Depending on the Engine Model the Gas Flows Into the Crankcase by Way of the Crankcase Vent or Rings. You can View a Breakdown of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.buykawpower.com/kmcb2c/main.jsp and Select View Parts Catalog. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please.
