Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Chainsaw Wont Start, cleaning solution, carburetor

Question
I committed the cardinal sin and let the chainsaw sit with some gasoline in it for about 3 years.  I tried to start it up the other day, and nothing.

Is this something that is fixable?  If I can't do it myself, where does one start to find somebody who does?

I am not at home and don't have the saw with me, but I want to say it's an 18" craftsman.

Yes you can have this fixed by you or a repair shop. The carburetor needs to be removed and completely overhauled. You can order a rebuild kit and then soak all the old parts in a cleaning solution and then rebuild it. If you want I can get you a rebuild kit.
