Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 8 hp tecumseh motor, fly wheel, machine screw

Question
the magnet came off on the fly wheel, ,what kind of glue do you  use,, the factory must use a strong one to stay on , thanks

Answer
Hello Mike:

I Use a 2 Part Epoxy Glue that I Purchased from my Local NAPA Automotive Parts Retailer or I Drill and Tap the Flywheel and Drill and Countersink the Magnet and Use a Machine Screw with Thread Loc to Hold the Magnet Onto the Flywheel. Some Model Engines have the Magnets Held on with a Screw. I have a Few of the Homeowners Tell me they Used Super Glue Also. I am Not Sure About the Super Glue, but the People Say the Magnets are Holding so Far. I will Locate the Glue in the Morning and Send you the Name of it then. Since this is a Tecumseh Engine, I have a PDF Site Addy that May Assist you Also. http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
